About Canyon Gauntlet
Canyon Gauntlet is the endless version of the run-and-gun, a score chase through a sun-baked desert canyon that never runs out of stages. You get three lives for the whole run. Each stage is generated fresh from the original level builder, longer and meaner than the one before: more pits, more ledges, denser patrols of armoured gladiator troopers, cannon turrets on crates and snipers on the rocks, all ending with a sandstone fortress full of guns. Smash the fortress and the next stage begins immediately, keeping whatever weapon you are holding, so a well protected spread gun or machine gun can carry you a long way. Every kill, every fortress gun and every cleared stage adds to your score, with big bonuses for stage clears, and the run only ends when your last life is gone. Learn the rhythm of the patrols, master jumping and crouching to dodge, keep an eye on the supply ships for fresh weapons, and see how deep into the canyon you can get before the desert claims you.
How to play
Arrow keys or A/D to run, up/down to aim, Space to jump, hold J or click to fire, down + jump to drop through ledges. On touch screens use the stick and the jump button while the blaster fires automatically. You have three lives for the whole run.
