About Rush Hour Hopper

Rush Hour Hopper sends a brave puppy into the busiest downtown at the worst possible time. Wide avenues stack four or five lanes deep with taxis, police cruisers, fire engines, garbage trucks and delivery vans, all moving at their own speed. The secret weapon of the city is the zebra crossing: many avenues have a striped crosswalk with a traffic light, and when the light turns red the cars brake and queue up at the line. Read the signal, walk over to the crossing and dash across while the traffic waits, or gamble on a gap in the middle of the block if you feel lucky. Between the avenues you rest on wide sidewalks lined with street lamps, benches and planters that block your way, while subway rails cut across the city with flashing signals and a warning bell before every train. A few canals still run through the old town, where floating logs carry you from bank to bank. The camera keeps pushing forward and a hungry eagle circles above anyone who stands still too long. Collect coins, climb the score and see how many blocks your pup can cross before rush hour wins.

How to play

Tap, click or press Space / ↑ to hop forward; swipe or use ← → ↓ to step aside or back. Red light means the cars stop at the zebra crossing: use it! Watch for flashing subway signals.
