About Ice Hole Angler
Winter has frozen the lake solid, but the fish below are still hungry. In Ice Hole Angler you sit on a crate beside your tent and snowman, rod in hand, fishing through a single hole cut in thick blue ice. Tap to drop the lure through the hole and guide it into the dark water underneath. Weave between smelt, perch and char as it sinks, because the first fish you brush against grabs the hook. Reeling up is a threading puzzle: the line has to come back through that narrow hole, so line up your catch before you reach the ice. Cold water has a twist, too. Some fish arrive frozen inside a block of ice, and when the catch bursts into the snowy air you need two quick taps on them, one to crack the shell and one to cash in. Look out for silvery salmon, glowing ice-fin skeletons and the odd surprised penguin that pays a small fortune. Spend coins on longer line, more hooks and offline earnings, then push down from the shallow shelf into the deep lake and the glacier trench. Five casts make a day, and your gear stays with you for the next frosty morning.
How to play
Tap to cast through the ice hole. Steer with the mouse, a finger or ←/→: avoid fish going down, collect them coming up and guide the line back through the hole. Frozen fish need two taps in the air.
