About Hypergammon Blitz
Hypergammon Blitz strips backgammon down to its sharpest form: each side starts with just three checkers, waiting deep on the opponent's first three points, and the whole game becomes a tense sprint across a navy and teal board with coral points. With so few pieces every roll matters. Do you run for home, hang back to hit a straggler, or anchor on a point and wait for a shot? Blots get hit all the time, positions swing on a single throw, and a game takes only a few minutes, so it is perfect for a quick break or for learning how the dice and the doubling cube really work. All the standard rules apply, from entering off the bar and forced moves to bearing off, gammons and backgammons. The cube makes it spicy: double when you smell a win, and think hard before you take. Glowing landing spots, take-backs before you confirm, hints and three computer levels help you learn fast, and you can sign in to race real opponents online.
How to play
Roll, then tap a checker and a glowing point (or drag). Each side has three checkers: race them home and bear them off first. Hit lone checkers to send them back. Press Done to finish your turn; Double before rolling to raise the stakes.
