About Honeycomb Crane
Honeycomb Crane is a sweet building game where a swinging crane hands you one golden honeycomb tile at a time. Each hexagon hangs from a long rope and sways from side to side above your hive. Tap to unhook it and it drops down onto the stack, landing with a soft thud. The twist is momentum: a falling tile keeps the speed of its swing, so you cannot simply let go when it is directly overhead. Instead, watch the dark shadow that slides across the top of the hive. It shows exactly where the tile will land, so release the hook when the shadow sits neatly on the layer below. Land it perfectly and you hear a bright note and see a ring of light; land it a little off and the edge that sticks out breaks away and tumbles down, leaving a smaller hexagon for the next drop. Five perfect drops in a row help your hive grow back toward full size. The swing is gentle at first and gets livelier the higher you go, while the honey colours deepen from bright gold to warm amber and the sky changes behind you. It is easy to learn, great for younger players, and surprisingly hard to put down once you start chasing a taller hive.
