About Blacktop Duel
Blacktop Duel takes you to the neighbourhood park on a sunny afternoon, where a green and red court sits behind a chain-link fence, kids watch from the benches and cars roll past the houses across the street. A local hotshot is waiting with a challenge: a shooting duel, first to eleven points. You shoot first from a spot on the court, then your rival steps up and takes the exact same shot, so every round is a head to head test of nerve. It is played by street rules: a basket inside the arc is worth one point and a shot from beyond the arc is worth two. Hit three swishes in a row and you catch fire, earning a bonus point on every basket until you miss, but watch out, because your rival can get hot too. Swipe up to shoot, use the length of the swipe for distance and keep it straight for accuracy. The spots move around the arc every round and drift further out as the game goes on, so a lead is never safe. The scoreboard shows whose turn it is and the running score, and the crowd on the benches reacts to every make and every brick. Win by a big margin to earn all three stars.
How to play
Take turns with your rival from the same spot. Swipe up and release to shoot: longer swipe = more power, straight swipe = on target. Inside the arc scores 1, beyond it 2. First to 11 wins. Keyboard: hold Space to charge, ←/→ to aim.
